The Tuscola Community High School Drama Club is a group of students that work together to produce the collaborative art of theatre. To be a loyal member of this group, each student should be willing and ready to dedicate their time and energy to their group and school.
The TCHS Drama Club produces two shows each year. The first production is always a straight play performed in the fall. It usually has a small cast and an intense rehearsal schedule, but lots of fun for every student involved. The second production is always a musical performed in the spring. It usually has a larger cast and a longer rehearsal process. Casting and show choices are decided each year by the director. The Drama Club does not only include actors, but anyone that is interested in the performing arts. This includes: light/sound, costuming, props, set building, makeup, or a general love for theatre! We are always looking for new members!
The TCHS Drama Club also attends the Illinois High School Theatre Festival every other year. This is an annual festival recognizing high school theatre from all over the state. We also fundraise and try to raise money to take a few field trips throughout the year. We have monthly meetings where we are always discussing new ideas and fun ways to bring theatre into our community!
